Sound Design

Music in sibelius.
I create the music for all my animations in Sibelius. Composing for a specific atmosphere or idea is a unique challenge and is a very different experience to composing regular music. In some cases, I use audacity to add effects and equalisation to these songs to better suit the atmosphere. Examples of animation I'm most proud of the music behind are Sleep and Moo, I think that these songs particularly fit the action on the screen and also just sound great in their own regard.
Sound Effects
Created in Audacity and rendered in Blender
Many of my animations do not just have static music but contain sound effects placed in stereo in the video scene. These animations are often created from stock sound effects and manipulated in Audacity. The finished effects are then placed into the Blender scene and the audio is rendered in stereo. A good example is in Diagnosis where a short beep sound effect has been edited into several looping tones which play from the large switchboard. The original sound effect and scene from the video (starting at 10s) can be seen below.
