Hi there! I'm Matthew, a 3D artist and student of computer science. I love creating 3D scenes and atmospheres, whether for individual renders, animations or video game concept art. I also create music and sound effects for my animations as well as some experimental computer programs. Have a look around this site to see all my work!
My 3D modelling and animation skills in Blender were developed through self-learning and online tutorials for around a year and I'm furthering my knowledge by studying VFX & Motion Graphics at Brunel University. I also am proficient in the Adobe Suite, having learned to use Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign. For me learning to use computers creatively has been really freeing as I love creating and constantly am thinking of ideas when in the shower or washing up but have always had too clumsy hands to produce traditional art or to play instruments at a high level.
I achieved 4 A*s at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing. I also achieved a first in my first year of studying Computing at Imperial College London. My highest scoring Modules were Programming (75%), Logic (79%) and Introduction to Databases (86%). I took an extra credit class Introduction to Philosophy and achieved a pass with distinction. I discovered that computing was not right for me in my second year and moved to study VFX & Motion Graphics at Brunel University to fully commit myself to my craft.
